it's going to be one of those stories...

3-4 cms; 50% effaced; frequent, relatively painless contractions. FOREVAH!

Yup. I'm still where I was 48 hours ago. Knickers in a twist over nought, it seems.
Looks like I'm in for the long haul (i.e. "Weeeeell, it could be tomorrow and it could be in a several weeks, HAHAHAHA") And that's OK. Battlestar Galactica's on tonight and I'm now officially on maternity leave.

Now off to recline, eat bon-bons, and shamelessly exploit the "but I'm having contractions" aspect of this thing. I may never have to get my own damn water again!

The waiting is the hardest part. Nothing like a little Tom Petty to get that baby moving (or not, depending on your musical tastes)

You go girl! I was VERY impatient in the last few weeks of my pregnancy. Especially because I was convinced that he was coming early. So when he came late, I was just a tad grumpy.

And... when I was 3 cm and 100% effaced I thought I was in transition, and had already decided we were adopting our next child because I was never going through this again. So where you're at seems not so bad to me.

Sounds good to me! I held fast at 1 cm for weeks...right until my delivery date at 41.5 weeks. Hang in there girl. You know these last days will mean nothing once you've got that sweet little joy jr in arms.

Gah, I get just a little behind on my blogs thanks to some angst in Real Life and you go into labour behind my back. But I'm here, ready to help now. Brrreeeaaathe. I'll start ripping up some sheets. You know, for fun.

Maybe you can do the second baby "but I didn't even know I was in labor!" instant delivery thing. Here's hoping!

My middle child was like that. I went to the hospital with two false labors with him. Ugh. Good luck.

OK, now it is Monday so I am curious. I never go early, nor do I walk around dilated so I'm sure I'd be making-them-take-that-damn-baby-out-of-me if I were you. You're a better woman than I :)

Best to you. At least exploit it all and have fun!
