Barney Frank...Where have you been all my life?

The Old Man and I got ourselves all Worked Up and Righteous the other night when we watched Barney Frank on Bill Maher. In case you missed it, watch Barney smack-down nasty Republican Homophobe with Glorious Rhetorical Swordplay.

(and yes...I need to stop stalking the YouTube quite so much and tell you something substantive about the state of my cervix or mucus plug or something very scintillating like that. Worry not, I will get to it....luckies... But for now....)

Barney Frank RULES! I wish the whole congress were just hundreds of Barney Franks. I'm serious. You don't even know how much I love Barney Frank. I saw him in person once but he didn't seem like the hugging type so I restrained myself.

Geez woman, I go away for a week or two and all of the sudden you are posting up a storm. Is this like how your team never wins when you attend the games? Should I not look at the internet for a few weeks every time I am hoping you will post soon?

i, too, am a Barney fan. Frank, that is, not that stupid purple dinosaur (in case you were confused)

my dear, i tried to leave you a comment about a gajillion times yesterday, to no avail (you know this because you don't see any other comments! hahahahahaha!) i have, in fact, lifted a French & Saunders bit from your blog and posted it directly to the pages of CENTRAL SNARK for all the world to see. so thank you for the inspiration... and, tell me: got any big plans for your maternity leave? i mean besides caring for a new baby?? cuz i was just thinking.... xoxo

Yes! I saw this episode and was doing a Barney Frank cheer myself. I'm glad you have tape of it here.

Not that footage of your mucus plug wouldn't be just as riveting.

I missed that and thank you for posting it! When I was in college in Boston I became a huge fan of his, and that was back when he was hugely demonized for his sexuality. He held his ground with grace and wit, and I've been on Team Barney ever since.

Barney Frank was fantastic. I have to admit that I hadn't really heard of him before, but I definitely want to, like, sell tshirts for him or something now. He was ruthless, and that is something that I require in people who are going to go head to head against a conservative. no more manners!

Barney is MY congressman, and he's from MY town and we LOVE HIM. He's just the best. You know how when everyone says "write your congressman" about liberal issues? We don't ever have to because Barney is always on our side!
